Introducing Our New Heavy Duty Horizontal Sliding Unit
Following extensive consultation with our trade and commercial partners, we’re delighted to now be able to offer a non-centre-opening variation of our three-panel horizontal sliding unit.
As the name would suggest, this variation does not allow the central panel to operate independently from the side panels. Instead, the central panel operates in tandem with either the left of the right panel to allow for great opening access to the primary window.
The newly launched variation will become the default for three-panel horizontal sliding units where the central panel is larger than the side panels, creating a wider opening capacity allowing for increased airflow and greater access to the primary windows.
The diagram below highlights the benefits of utilising the non centre-opening variation when the central panel is larger than the right and the left panels:
Whilst the new non centre-opening variation will become the default for units where the central panel is larger than the sides, we would still recommend the central opening variation for units with equal panel splits. This is because the reverse interlocker technology allows for increased functionality and access to the primary window.
