Sales & Estimating Manager – Commercial

As a Sales and Estimating Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our commercial success, contributing directly to our ongoing growth and market leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage our estimating team, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration. Providing guidance, coaching and training to the Estimating team and drive results.
- Prospecting using tools such as Barbours/Glengians, historical database, cold calling, marketing.
- Building a relationship with the clients.
- Commercially savvy. (Able to negotiate the best margin and best contract conditions. (e.g. retentions, liquidated damages, payment).
- Tracking / keeping in contact with clients (CRM / marketing) over a long period of time. (project can take two years from initial design, to planning, to be at the stage they are ready for our product).
- Estimating project costs
- Building product / application knowledge to use to give consulting advice to the clients. (in house training will be provided).
You will be supported by
- Product technical experts, surveyors
- Design, manufacturing, project managers and installation teams and QS function.
- Geographically based field sales team.
- A strong marketing team.
Required Experience
- Experience in construction an advantage. Experience in a similar selling environment e.g. commercial office fitout, is equally relevant.
- Attention to detail, initiative.
- Proven experience in a People Management role, Sales Experience, Team leadership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships and negotiate effectively.
Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
