Outline Scope & Purpose of Role

The role of a Commercial Sales Estimator is to work very closely with our Sales & Estimating Manager and Commercial Estimating team. You will be a hands-on person, with drive and ambition to generate leads, prepare quotations, form great relationships with clients, and ensuring contact throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • You will generate leads, using prospecting tools, historical data, cold calling and marketing campaigns.
  • Be responsible for preparing details quotations for the turnkey design, supply and installation of bespoke Secondary Glazing into Commercial premises (using Wingen Proprietary software) with support from our Installation and technical teams.
  • Estimating all project costs
  • Forming long-standing professional working relationships with clients. Ensuring regular contact, over a long period of time. Working on a CRM to keep updates on all clients.
  • You will negotiate terms with clients (in conjunction with our Commercial team) and ensure the best margin and contract conditions.
  • Converting all quotations into order terms, working with our Sales team.
  • Build product/application knowledge to give the best consulting advice to our clients (training will be provided)

Experience Required

  • Commercially savvy, with great negotiation skills
  • Experience within the Construction Industry would be a great advantage.
  • You will have worked in a similar Sales and Estimating environment, with experience in Lead Generation, building relationships, and account management over the phone.
  • We require someone who has experience in preparing quotations, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Persistence is a must in this role, the sales process can be a long (yet rewarding)
  • You must be able to work as part of a busy, hands-on team, and able to work off your own initiative.
  • Experience in fenestration isn’t a must (training will be provided)
  • Drawing/CAD experience isn’t required but would be an advantage.

Location

M62 Corridor – Leeds/Manchester/Liverpool, home based with monthly meetings in Dinnington, Sheffield.
