Introducing the Heavy Duty Horizontal Sliding Unit

As part of the ongoing development of our product range, we’re delighted to be able to reveal a new, heavy-duty variation of our Horizontal Sliding Units.

Designed specifically for Horizontal Sliding Units which exceed 2m in height, this new variation will feature re-engineered interlockers and handle profiles to increase their resistance to bending and to reduce the amount of overall flex in the panel.

In order to retain the sleek, unobtrusive aesthetics of our product range, the top and bottom rail of the unit will remain the same as our standard Horizontal Sliding Units. It is worth noting however, that the tweaks to the handle profile mean that heavy-duty Horizontal Sliding Units will sit within a minimum 62mm timber subframe as opposed to 43mm.

For all Horizontal Sliding Units that exceed 2m in height – whether that be 2-panel, 3-panel, 4-panel or 5-panel –  the heavy duty variation will be the automatic, default selection through both our online ordering system and our order processing team.
